Labour Weekend

We started off our Labour Weekend with a garden walk to admire all the work that we have put in over the past 3 years to make it what it is today. Spring time certainly is a great time for reflection!Clematis

We had the previous owners come over for a visit a couple of days ago and they thought that the garden is coming to age and looking great.

The first Monarch butterflies are laying their eggs on the swan plants who have managed to survive the winter months. It will be a joy to watch the increase of butterflies during the summer.

Broadbeans

The veggie garden is looking good with the lettuce, broad beans and silver beet all growing nicely. Because the sweet peas have self-seeded they are growing in the right spots already.

The clematis on the pergola is looking magnificent and we decided to buy two passion fruit plants to see if we can grow these on the other side of the pergola.

It’s also a great time to get your houseplants outside and give them a good dose of water and fertilize them with fish-oil or other natural fertilizer. It will perk them up and makes for a good opportunity to split them up if the pots are becoming too small.

Have a great Labour weekend and take some “Thyme out” to enjoy your hard labour either at work or in your garden!
